Ondansetron antisickness risks??

Was prescribed the ones that melt on the tongue for HG. Was also told it’s a small risk of cleft lip / heart defects . Anyone take this and baby was fine ?? I find it’s the only thing that’s helping me :(

How far along are you?

It’s some studies that have seen a very small increase in risk (some studies found no increase) when taken in the first trimester.

Then it sounds like your GP has weighed the potential risks and prescribed it anyway.

There are also (very small) risks that come with severe sickness in pregnancy, so it’s a balance.

The majority of women who take it will not have any issues.

i have taken this since around 12 weeks still on it now currently 37 weeks & all the checks with scans have been fine :)
