3 fingers?

Genuine question as my anxiety is sky high now, my partner and I had a 3d scan, and I swear in this picture I can only see three fingers, can any one else see this? Or has anyone else had a scan look like this and everything was actually fine?

Remember, your baby is a human and therefore will not have its hand like this ✋🏼 at every angle at all times.

Have you had your anatomy scan? If so you can be sure everything is fine. If not, wait till then before worrying.

Easier said than done! But I assume you’re not a sonographer therefore don’t really know what you’re looking at x

They would usually check the digits at the anatomy scan. Did they tell you they didn"t check them? Or just didn't mention it specifically? To me, I see 4 fingers with the pinky being to the bottom of the photo. The thumb wont be visible from that angle as I think it's showing the back of the hand. Remember, that's a very blurry still image, a sonographer viewing a live moving image has a much clearer view. Congratulations x

They’d have told you if there was a problem. Eg I bet they didn’t run through every single body part and verbally tell you everything individually was fine

To be honest they did mention individual body parts, but they was messing around a lot, and one of them was in training so made it a slightly uncomfortable experience as they was showing him what to expect with certain problems with baby, and it kept making me think they was saying baby has it.

You were specifically told that they didnt check your baby's anatomy... at your anatomy scan?

When are they rebooking it for then?

...think it's much more likely that they did check it and you need to develop strategies to manage your anxiety.

Hey I can see 4, and most definitely there is 5 ,- one hidden in that particular photo of the scan.

Just ask who saw again and explain you are worried, they will reassure you x

Checking digits isn’t part of the anatomy scan in England.
