just wondering if anyone else is having/had the same or similar issue 😭 so for context I’m 24 and 31 weeks pregnant with my second baby I have a 2 y/o also. I have never ever been one for any sort of infection down below even in my first pregnancy all was fine and well no infections nothing. I’ve had 2 utis in 6 years so fairly rare for me. This pregnancy though I don’t know why but it’s just uti after uti!! I’ve had thrush for nearly 3 months on top of the UTIs and I can’t get rid of it. Pessaries won’t do anything and I’ve never had thrush before in my life and now it won’t go away. Then to top it off I keep getting utis which i suppose the antibiotics would then make thrush worse if I’m correct with what I read about antibiotics can cause thrush. Just fed up don’t even know the point of the post I’m making 😩can anyone else relate?? Did anyone else experience similar and once baby was born all was right and well again 😖

Have you used a longer course of thrush pessaries? I mean like 6 or 7 days at once?

The thrush will be coming from the antibiotics for the UTI wiping out your good bacteria mixed with your ph changing during pregnancy- recipe for thrush! I had the same problem!! I was prescribed pessaries every week which I did when I needed! And make sure to have loads of probiotics/yoghurts etc!!

sorry your going through this it’s so uncomfortable

3rd baby. Never had utis or thrush in my life.
Yeast infection and me are now bestfriends at 24 weeks pregnant.
I'm using econazole cream nightly for about a week straight, then I get about a week of nothing, then back at it. I also had econazole nitrate tablet to insert and repeat 3 days after the 1st, to go along with the cream, but I'm not a huge fan of medication so only did that once and it did clear it up, but still came back a week or so later so decided to just stick with the cream.
I know it's hormonal so just hoping I can grin and bear it until the end of pregnancy!
Also being aware that when it's definitely flaring up I'm not passing it back and forth between me and hubby

Thankyou! Yeah it’s definitely uncomfortable and fairly annoying just want to feel normal again. Yeah definitely the antibiotics aren’t helping the case but then I’m getting utis which I obviously need antibiotics for so it’s a lose lose situation 😅

Yes I have days where it’s not as bad and I think it’s cleared and then I’m like yep definitely not cleared up! Then when I think it’s cleared up I’m battling utis during that😖yep for sure I won’t let my poor partner touch me lol don’t want to aggravate the thrush or UTIs and I of course wouldn’t want to pass anything on to him either. Super annoying but hopefully it sorts itself out once baby is here 🤞🏼
