Due to spotting and a short cervix I now have to wait for my dating scan which is 10 days away and honestly I’m going insane. First diagnosis was a suspected inevitable miscarriage now 24 hours later it’s a threatened miscarriage. Im on a rollacoaster of emotions and have no convinced myself I’m loosing my baby despite no further spotting

So sorry for what you’re going through. Pregnancy is a rollercoaster of emotions. Spotting in pregnancy is very common 1 in 4. I personally spotted for like 4.5 weeks during my 1st trimester and previously had a miscarriage so was a stress ball especially as they couldn’t find a reason for why.

Is it possible you could get a private scan sooner as those 10 days are going to feel like an eternity for you.

So sorry that you are going through this. I had some light spotting in week 5/6. Had a scan at week 6,8,12 & 16 and everything looked really well. Out of no where 5 days after my 16 week scan I started to bleed really heavily. Went to the hospital with threatened miscarriage but after a long waiting game everything turned out fine. No explanation for the bleeding. My daughter has just turned 1. I really hope this is the same for you! If you can go for a private scan do to put your mind at ease.

Thank you. During my scan 2 days they saw blood around the cervix cavity so said it could go either way. I haven’t spotted since but honestly the wait is terrible I can’t afford another private scan so just have to wait trying to stay sane

I had two big gushing bleeds at 5.5 weeks and 8 weeks. Baby was measuring on track and with heartbeat and now 21 weeks and all good.

Its so tough but thing can go either way. Did they say anything about how the baby was measuring? Do you have pain/cramping?
