When to see doctor

My period isn't due for another two days, however I've already had two positive tests... should I wait until my period is late before seeing the doctor, or just go now?

I wouldn't go for a while unless you need treatment right away. Not sure how long they recommend you wait now - 6 weeks after your last period?

I went when I was 5 days overdue and was told to come back in 2 weeks...

At my surgery you're not really offered a doctor's appointment unless you specifically ask for one.

If you're pregnant, you go in and make a 'booking' appointment with a midwife - usually for when you're about 10 weeks pregnant - and you get given an information pack with leaflets about folic acid etc.

But I'm sure every surgery is different.

Congrats Hairy

I just rang the surgery and asked for a booking in appointment with the midwife, I will be getting on for 9 weeks by the time the appointment comes round.

Unless you need to see the GP early on in pregnancy, I wouldn't even bother seeing him, t'is a pointless appointment IME.

It depends on your surgery. At mine you have to see the GP so they can refer you to the MW. Its stupid really as all they do is tell you your due date and tell you to make an appointment for the MW.
