Tests getting lighter at 6-7 weeks but not hook affect

Firstly, I know I should stop testing. Anyway, I am using easy@home strips currently. This is my second pregnancy. I have had a 3+ on clear blue and dye stealer on FRER.

however my easy@home have got dark (see pic) but they are just not getting to the point where the control line is faint.

i have tried to mix my urine with water to see if it’s the hook affect but it defo isn’t as my tests are still reliant on urine being concentrated.

is this normal or a sign of an impending loss? I’m so nervous

I have sore boobs and slight nausea that comes and goes but solved by eating. Today I am getting womb pains when I cough which I can only assume as round ligament pain. I have also had an early scan to check viability & pregnancy was in the right place but was too early to see more than a yolk sack (this was around 5 weeks 4 days)

Thank you for your message. What makes you say that if you don’t mind me asking?

Why? I really would like to know why you think it’s not stuck?

I do think! Ignore me wasn’t looking properly

Oh ok! So I’m still in with a chance?

Strange thread. Your tests look very strongly positive and I don’t understand why you are anxious or why you keep testing?

@Truegum2 what evidence do you have for saying that?

AwakeNotThruChoice · 17/07/2025 07:16

Is it normal to keep testing after you’ve got a positive pregnancy test? I’ve got no idea really.

No one on the internet can tell if you’re ‘still’ pregnant or not of that is what you’re asking?

Congratulations- try and enjoy this!

BlueBelle7979 · 17/07/2025 07:18

They are strong positives. I mean this kindly, step away from the tests, or you will drive yourself potty!

Dozer · 17/07/2025 07:19

I don’t think this testing/investigating/forum activity is going to help you while you wait. The waiting is hard.

I found other tactics more helpful, eg distraction - work, TV, trying to sleep!

Uphighseesky · 17/07/2025 07:24

OP those are all strong positives. Time to stop testing.

heroinechic · 17/07/2025 07:29

Congratulations! easy@home aren’t great for progression, if you want a dye stealer take a first response.

Once you’re out of the woods for a chemical (which you are) there’s no point in testing. It tells you nothing about how the baby is developing and HCG levels can take a while to drop even if there is a problem. The fact you're on here worrying about it shows that it’s doing more harm than good.

I’d never heard of it until I came on MN. I just seems a recipe for anxiety.

Mortima · 17/07/2025 08:03

Congratulations OP!

I never got dye stealers with the easy@home either, they just got very dark like yours.
I did stop testing after about 17DPO, but did a random one when I was much later in pregnancy just to see if the tests looked any different, and it was pretty much the same.

Definitely step away from the tests now, they can't tell you anything new/

curliegirlie · 17/07/2025 09:32

Those look fine - and the latest test lines do indeed look darker than the control. Strip tests take so much longer to do the whole dye stealer tests than others.

Wednesdayonline · 17/07/2025 09:44

These are fine. Please please please stop testing now, just throw the ones you've got out. You won't get any more reassurance for this, if you have concerns you can pay for a private scan which should now show the heartbeat.

Everythingisokay · 17/07/2025 09:46

From your pics, the tests are totally normal. They don't get darker than that.
They're also not getting lighter like you mentioned in your OP.
It all looks absolutely fine!

It is for people who've had losses.

But I've never heard someone testing into 6-7 weeks.
