Low free beta hcg 12 week scan?

Hi,

first time poster!

had results back from my first scan where I was dated at 12 weeks and 5 days.

whilst the results say low risk for the 3 syndromes, I am concerned that the free beta-HcG amount is really low?

Free ß-hCG 6.55 IU/L, Analyser; BRAHMS Kryptor, MoM 0.172.

As it is probably relevant, this started off as a twin pregnancy, but baby B had no heartbeat and appeared to stop growing at around 8 weeks.

would be grateful for some insight because Google has not been helpful and whilst im usually good at keeping myself in check, I’ve managed to spiral with this one!

thank you

I'm so sorry about baby B Flowers
Perhaps the loss/vanishing twin could be skewing your results somehow? I've just done a cursory google and there is some evidence this can happen. Especially since your results for the syndromes are low?

Perhaps for peace of mind you could ask midwife or pay for NIPT/harmony test? It's really accurate compared to NHS 12 week one. After some losses I decided to pay (think it cost me 300?) to ease my mind with my last pg
