Boy or girl?

Hello,

I am 37 weeks + 3 days into pregnancy (nearly there!) and had a private scan confirming gender of baby is boy. I’ve gone out and done all the clothes shopping but suddenly having doubts on the gender after reading about the “3 white lines” for girls.

I’m no expert and I do believe it is a boy but thought I’d check if any experts on here could confirm? :)

Boy or girl?

I’d agree on boy

I'd say girl. Sorry

Boy.
although you’d want a clearer picture - but if they’ve told you they can clearly see the gender and they’ve said boy then that’ll be correct. It’s easier to make a boy look like a girl (with a poor view), than a girl look like a boy (if they’ve seen boy bits!). They will have looked more and seen more views than are just captured in that single picture.

Personally, I've seen scans of people where they were told one thing in private scans but it was obvious the gender was different. And they then gave birth to children of different gender to what they were told.
Sorry to say this but I just wanted to contradict PP's poster that if they tell you they can see gender, it is correct.

Not much time left till you find out now 💕

But as it's 37 weeks, I would be more inclined to trust them.

This is a fair point, I’m not sure of overall quality of private “gender reveal” type scan places, probably less reliable than within hospital system! Image still looks more boy than girl to me, but I guess nothing in life is ever completely certain!! Not long to wait anyway OP :)

Thank you all.

the scan is actually from 22 weeks and I’ve not had any follow up scans with NHS or private since.

I think I’m just overthinking at this stage as it’s getting closer to the time. I trust they’re correct with the gender confirmation but also up for a surprise if they are wrong 😀.
