Extremely anxious and would love your guys opinion and experiences.

(history: 1 MMC, 1 live birth, 1 chemical pregnancy, 1 ectopic with tube removal)

I'm 38, had a natural pregnancy which was an ectopic that was rupturing at 5+2 in Dec last year, I know it was super early but I had left sided paid very early on, back ache and was on painkillers for a week straight when I knew something was off. No shoulder tip pain, leg pain or other abdomen pain, just this weird intense pain near my left ovary and back ache at night. I went in for a scan and immediately sent to theatres for surgery. Methotrexate was never an option. I lost my left tube and a lot of hope.

I decided to go down the IVF route after this. I am now 11dp5dt. I have the exactly pain again but on the right side without back ache. It's intense, constant like a pressure and also groin pain. I'm so worried it's another ectopic. I went to an and e today and they said it's too early to see anything but still they scanned - pregnancy or unknown location, but could just be far too early to see. Yesterday 10dp5dt my hcg was 142. I'll repeat it tomorrow.

I wanted to know from people who have also been though ectopics, what were your symptoms. Does this sound like an ectopic? My husband thinks I'm being OTT but he did last time too. Did anyone go on to have a successful outcome after a suspected ectopic?

Hi.
You are essentially what would you be 15DPO in a natural conception, definitely too early to see. In ultrasound.

You'll have heightened feelings now after your last experience, very understandably.
Please let us know how you get on, I hope everything settles for you and you return with a good news scan in the weeks to come.

I echo the PP. It’s just far too early to tell much at this stage. Various aches, pains and strange sensations are completely normal in early pregnancy as the embryo beds in for the long run. You’re on heightened alert due to your history and I’d say try not to stress about it but of course you’re going to, so I’d suggest you just try to distract yourself as much as possible, try to give in to the process and accept that whatever will happen will happen. Things are just not in your control right now and you have to let them play out.

Please get yourself checked out @Pinkcinnabon. General aches and pains are normal, but if the pain is intense then definitely worth trying to see someone. Yes a scan may not show the pregnancy but will show internal bleeding, especially because you have previous experience of a very early rupture. I was refused a scan because I was before six weeks, which led to horrible pain and a rupture. Turns out my ectopic was sizeable after all, even before six weeks.

With regards to symptoms, I had horrific pain all across my abdomen, on and off for a few days but progressively getting worse. No shoulder tip or back pain. The pain only became one sided after the rupture

I hope things are all okay OP, but if you are in a lot of pain please try and see someone. Wishing you all the very best x

Hey there,
Im a week post op and had my left tube removed with my ectopic so no success story yet!
But in regards to my symptoms I feel they were somewhat classic.
At 4wks5days I had a threatened mc as I had intense period cramps and lower back pain and started to spot bright red. Went to a&e and it died down and the spotting turned to brown, they referred me to epu. Went to epu and all symptoms seemed to have stopped even the spotting. Sonogram just showed a lovely thick endometrium and cosy environment and my progesterone was 72. Nothing was seen and was said it could just be too early. Had bloods drawn and they were 239 at 5wks. 45hrs after they were 479 and 3 days later 1919 - they were actually happy with my draws but the brown spotting came back every time I wiped (had no symptoms other the hungry/peeing alot/metallic taste). When I was home I in the morning I had this awful pressure in my uterus like trapped wind that was like a shock up the bottom to my left side. Had the same the next day and went back to epu. Another sonogram showed the ectopic in my left tube! Was thinking to opt for the mtx shot but decided to have one more bloods draw to see if it was trending down. It came back that it had gone up another 1000 and my haemoglobin came back really low and from when I decided to go for surgery that pressure and spotting butt pain came back with vengeance and I couldn't sit down or lay down and they took me straight to theatre. The sad thing is that was my 1st cycle from an 8wk mmc diagnosed at 10wks and it will always rob my pregnancy happiness and like you hypervigilant with any signs of distress. I hope that your pregnancy is all okay and youre just that, hyper aware 💕
