Spotting 11 weeks

This morning (tmi sorry) I was staining to poop and when I wiped there was a little pink spotting and now I’m panicking.

ive been quite constipated the whole first trimester but this is the first time any straining has resulted in spotting.

There is no cramping and no more bleeding, should I be concerned? I’m quite new into a new job so don’t want to take any time off.

I had a scan last week and all looked fine and I have my NHS scan on Friday.

Any advice welcome!

You will have irritated something by straining.
Try not to strain while going to the toilet. Eat plenty of fruit and veg, i found weetabix in a morning helped me during my first trimester!

Thank you for the quick reply! I’ve been to the toilet to check about 5 times since and so far no other bleeding, too scared to try and poo again!😳

Before you worry just be certain you know where the spotting is coming from... If you're straining could easily be hemorrhoids or a fissure.

That did cross my mind but the spotting was definitely vaginal spotting. Thankfully seems to have stopped now🤞

I had this a couple of weeks ago! Only happened once and weirdly the following week my constipation switched to the opposite and since has been ok. If nothing since sure you’ll be fine! X
