How bad can round ligament pain truly be?

Hi allll

I’m currently 9w+2d pregnant and I even had a scan this morning which was perfect (as well as 4 previous ones - I’m under the EPU and recurrent miscarriage clinic, hence my anxiety!)

I’ve been having a lot of pain the last 2-3 days, but particularly the last 24 hours. It’s like a very dull one sided pain but it’s genuinely stopping me in my tracks at time and I’m having to really breathe through it!

I’ve been told that, given how well everything has gone so far, it’s likely just ‘round ligament pain’ but I didn’t think it would be actually painful this early on?!

Any similar stories with positive outcomes will be really helpful to ease the anxious thoughts 💕

Oh yes. I had it both times, I was rocking on my knees wondering what the fuck was going on the first time. I completely sympathise with the stress of pregnancy after multiple losses, it’s absolute shit. That pain didn’t last long, I’d forgotten about it by the time I was having my second. I wish I could remember how far along I was when it stopped, sorry.

I won’t say how many mcs I had in case it’s more than you as I always found that unhelpful when I was going through the crap years but under my RMC I ended up with a treatment plan which got me my daughter and a few years later I did the same and got my son and didn’t have any losses in between. I wish you comfort and as peaceful, healthy, uneventful a pregnancy as is possible. Previous losses can really steal the joy and excitement, try and travel positively as much as you can.
