I wanted to get a few sets of black pyjamas and nighties to wear after my csection and post birth. As I'm due to have a csection I wanted them to be high waisted so was going to stick to maternity wear for comfort....

But why is it so hard to find dark coloured pjs and Nighties?!?! Where have you bought from?

It’s a few years ago now but I got a couple of black nighties from Boohoo when I was pregnant with my first and they survived to go in my hospital bag for my second!

I bought mine from Seraphine, which have now gone into administration, but I also sold them on vinted! I had 2 x black nighties and some dark grey maternity / bf pjs with a matching dressing gown (brilliant for the ward). So worth checking out vinted as there were quite a few seraphine sets on there when I was selling mine. I also had the odd set from Next as well but it was in a lighter blue, so maybe not dark enough for you?

I did exactly this last year. 2 from boohoo, buttons all the way down for breastfeeding.

As above, I just bought cheap supermarket night tshirts in a few sizes above as then there was nothing to put pressure on my wound. Also my sister gave me a strappy night dress which was great for breastfeeding.

I thought that if this was only for the first week or so that it wasn't worth spending much on specific night wear.

I loved this on H&M - very flattering while pregnant and sooooo comfortable for wearing home https://www2.hm.com/en_gb/productpage.1179654002.html

Cyberjammies plain jersey range have been fabulous for me throughout my pregnancy. They don't do black but dark blue is close enough if it's fluids/ staining etc that you're worried about.

Adjustable drawstring waist and they are super stretchy - I just bought a size up from my pre-maternity size and they still fit comfortably at 36 weeks. They're such a lovely soft, light material and cool for summer.

Wouldn't buy anything else now. They do nighties as well.

These have been so comfy and they are designed for breastfeeding as well as maternity and they’re on sale at the moment too!

I bought one of these - really comfy and the buttons can come undone if you decide to breastfeed too :) I even wear it now 6 months PP!

Similar here, not worth wasting money on, I only bought one - a cheap supermarket nightie which had a button down top bit too it for easy BF access. I wore it for all of about 3 sleeps then went back to my faithful buttondown PJs. So much comfier I found.

I occasionally borrowed my DH oversized t-shirts as well to avoid any extra expense. Maternity pay really doesn't stretch far!
