Hi, I am 5+2 today. I am on progesterone, cyclogest. I wiped this morning, and there were bits on the tissue. Other than that I feel the same as before. Can anyone advise, if they have had something similar, and everything turned out ok?

Hi, that looks a very tiny amount. I know my friend had spotting on and off early pregnancy whilst on progesterone and baby was born totally healthy. Did you get progesterone from the EPU? It is always worth contacting them for advice

No, I had the progesterone that I hadn’t used from any unsuccessful IVF cycle. Feeling so scared…

Hi I had the exact same spotting in my first pregnancy when I was on progesterone. It started around week 8 and lasted till week 16. I saw a consultant and he said it’s a very normal side effect when you are on progesterone even though it continued after I stopped progesterone.

In my recent pregnancy I was also on progesterone and the spotting started again around week 8 and lasted till about week 16 again even though there was more liquid this time.

Both my sons are now 3 years and the youngest is almost 3 months old.

Can you contact EPU and get a scan done or pay for a private scan? All the best 🙏🏻

I had spotting throughout a healthy pregnancy. But you should speak to your care provider.

@K2012 I am only 5+2 today, would they scan me so early? I have had 3 miscarriages so I am already register with the EPU and book for an early scan at 7 weeks…

I would wait until 7 weeks anyway because earlier than that they might not be able to see much which can cause unnecessary anxiety. Try to stay calm, you're giving little one best chance with the progesterone and that's all you can do. I would have a Netflix and sofa day with some nice snacks!

It’s brown in colour so could have been there a little before and it’s taken time to come out. With such a small amount I certainly wouldn’t be worried about this at all! I bled around 6 weeks which my clinic said was implantation (I was also taking cyclogest). They also recommended I stopped using it vaginally and started using it rectally as progesterone can sometimes cause irritation on the cervix. I added a pic so you can see what they also said was nothing to worry about. Hope this makes you feel better! I’m now 16 weeks.

Thank you @Bbydidro I have attached a picture of how it looks now. Faint pink tissue. This has happened every time I have been for a wee when I wipe at the end. Feeling so frightened 😔
