I had brown discharge throughout my first trimester with my second pregnancy but unfortunately had a MMC. The did swabs eventually after (2 months after MMC) and it came back thrush. I had treatment this was around 6/7 weeks ago. Then the discharge stopped.

I am now pregnant around 7 weeks and the brown discharge has started again, I've been itchy down there for 2 weeks but GP said he doesn't advice the pessary at the moment? So I've just been using the cream. I also have a UTI and I don't know if that has contributed to the discharge.

I've read on here you can have it whilst pregnant. I am confused. Would you get the pessary anyway? I did call EPU for advice this morning but they never got back to me 😞

I had thrush when pregnant, am.pretty sire the gp prescribed an internal cream rather than pessary at the time.

I used internal cream when pregnant.

You can use the pessary while pregnant, just get it from the pharmacy if you don’t want the hassle of getting a prescription from the GP.

Thanks for your replies.

I did speak to pharmacy and they wouldn't give it to me because of pregnancy. I might have to lie

You can use the pessary, they just dont recommend using the applicator.
I would try a different pharmacey or the GP.

I’m ten weeks and just used the pessary but didn’t use the applicator, and only pushed it up around 1 inch in , the cream does nothing for me!
