nizoral in pregnancy.

please help reassure me!.have any of you used nizoral shampoo in pregnancy.my doctor said it would be alright,and so does a couple of websites,but another site,safefetus.com says it is catagory c and potentially dangerous to baby.Who do i believe?.Any of you used it and baby been fine?

never thought about it being unsafe at all tbh

how far gone are you?(congrats to you).
i may just be reading too much,it may only apply to the oral forms of ketoconazole,but it listed it as a 'c' when i put it in as shampoo form too on safefetus.com.
sorry if i have alarmed you.
i may ring doctor for confirmation tommorow,or go to see him,to ask him if he thinks my scalp looks ok to leave it alone just now..i will let you know the outcome.
i'm just super paranoid just now.

I have just had a brief look and it does seem to be safe enough as it does not cross the bloodstream through the scalp. I just got the over the counter version. I can't remember if I used it when pg with ds, but I probably did at some point and he is fine. HTH
