Heavy bleeding 8 weeks pregnant

Hi, this is my first pregnancy. I've experienced heavy bleeding twice now, and I've been to the emergency unit, where they did some questioning and referred me to the Early Pregnancy Unit (EPU). I've been to the EPU twice, and they've done scans, which showed a heartbeat, but they can't determine the cause of the bleeding. I'm really worried. The bleeding pattern is usually 2 hours of heavy bleeding, followed by a couple of hours of spotting, and then heavy bleeding again. I don't have any pain, which is why they don't think it's a miscarriage. Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

I had heavy bleeding at 10 weeks pregnant. They couldn’t determine the cause but started me on 800mg progesterone and I went on to have a successful pregnancy. I’m afraid I can’t offer any advice other than to call or go to the EPU if you have any concerns or new symptoms. Wishing you all the best x

So sorry you’re going through this, bleeding during pregnancy gives so much anxiety. I had a lot of bleeding too from 6 weeks and diagnosed with a very large subchorionic hematoma which was resolved by the 12 week scan. Up until that point I was convinced I’d lose the baby as I bled so much but thankfully all was ok. I know it’s easier said than done but try not to worry

Hi, I had heavy bleeding after sex at 7 weeks during my last pregnancy - no one knew the reason for it until it had happened about 5 more times and they finally found that I had cervical ectropion (not sure if right spelling) - cells which should be growing inside the cervix had moved to the outside of it. Or it could also be a subchorionic hematoma.

I had huge heavy bleeding and clots for 10 days straight in the 1st tri. She's a happy healthy gorgeous little 6 year old now.
They saw no reason for the bleed on any scans also.
Also was never offered any progesterone even with a history of mcs.
If you're still showing baby is there with a hb, cling on to that hope and take it a day at a time.

I am having the same heavy bleeds, with a few clots and no paint the moment
