Yes, I'm pregnant and think I've caught it from my 2 year old. I know I need to contact midwife, just going to check with dh first that it's not in my head (like an itchy head after talking about nits).

It would be hard for chicken pox to just be in your head psychosomatic as it’s very visually obvious if you have it?

Have you not had it as a child?
Do you have spots?

I've had it, so wasn't worried. I have a lot of eczema, so am usually covered in itchy red spots anyway. I'm just looking for people who've had it during pregnancy and it was OK. I'm not looking for advice on my personal situation, even though I appreciate that it's from a caring place.

If you've had it in the past you're unlikely to get it again as you'd have immunity towards it. No point in anyone saying that they were or weren't OK as everyone will be different

If you’ve had it before then very unlikely to catch it again, I wouldn’t worry.

Your immunity should have been checked early in the pregnancy. You need to get in touch with your midwife and check this out.

Chickenpox immunity is not checked for in pregnancy unless you ask for it to be done
