I have just found out that I'm pregnant, think about 6 weeks. This is completely unexpected, my partner is on medication that generally impacts male fertility so having kids wasn't on my agenda and I was fine with this however somehow this has happened.

My partner originally stated his concerns due to my age and his medication which has recently been linked to a slight increase in neurological issues (up to 5 in 100 from a very limited study) but he has now stated he doesn't want kids at all.

I have been open that I'm waiting until I've spoken to the midwife team but my wish would be to continue and keep the child but wouldn't hold him to anything, he's saying it's my choice and he wouldn't walk away but the distance is already there between us and we've know less than a week.

Am I mad to continue?

I don't think you're mad to continue at all. Kids may not have been on your radar, but if your wish is to keep the pregnancy then you should listen to your heart. Otherwise if you terminate for your partner, there's a real risk you end up resenting him for it, which affects the relationship anyway. It's never going to be an easy decision, but it is one where I feel you should put your own needs first 💕
