Positive urine test, negative bloods

Hi,
Has anyone ever had positive urine tests with a blood test that was negative for pregnancy? Currently 12dpo, tested due to that familiar nauseous feeling that started around this gestation with my previous pregnancies- had 4x faint positive tests at home with the last 2 days first morning wee. Went to EPU (as I have been sterilised last year so needed to rule out ectopic) and the blood test is negative for HCG. Has this happened to anyone else? Really confused as to what has happened. Rang this morning to be told it was negative yet the urine test is still showing a positive!
Many thanks

Are they all the same brand of test OP? Could it be a bad set of evaps?

I've done the cheap stick ones and a first response now

Strange. All I can suggest is test again in 2 days and if clearly positive, I'd ring them back.

Hm, very odd. I'd definitely be inclined to trust the blood test more, as they feel more accurate, but I may be wrong on that. I've vaguely heard that certain medical issues can generate a false positive (even for men) so I wonder if that's worth looking into with your GP

This happens to me.
The hospital have told me that I can’t rely on POS tests and my pregnancies should be confirmed via a blood test. It’s got something to do with a protein in my urine being similar to the structure of HGC and the urine test not being able differentiate between the two 🙄

Thank you everyone for your replies. It's so bizarre. In all my previous pregnancies, I have never had this happen. Will make a GP appt

If you're bloods are negative, then you're not pregnant. Bloods are more sensitive to hcg readings.
I'd be inclined to say the faint positives are more evaps.
This is what I had drilled into me when this exact thing happened. Period came the days late

GP appointment sounds like a good plan, if the bloods are negative then you aren’t pregnant. But I’d want to no what caused a false positive test
