Early pregnancy spotting whilst on progesterone?

Has anyone bled whilst on progesterone in pregnancy and it be ok?
I’ve had 2 missed miscarriages and had progesterone left over from my last miscarriage. I had a scan last week which showed everything healthy at 5w 6d with a heartbeat. I’ve since started taking the leftover progesterone as the nurse said they wouldn’t prescribe it but that lots of women do take it from the previous. I woke up this morning and have had spotting/brownish blood in discharge.
has anyone experienced this? My last miscarriage I had similar so I’m just spiralling now

I have had a fair bit of spotting. This is my first pregnancy following IVF. I am 8w2d and have had spotting since 5 weeks on and off. I also had some small clots and brown blood. I did have a little bit of red blood also. Had an early scan at 7w which showed all ok and saw the heartbeat.

I'm taking progesterone pessaries twice a day and estrogen tablets also as advised after IVF.

The nurse said that sometimes this is normal and couldn't see any reason for the blood.

It's so difficult not to worry when seeing blood - hopefully all ok for you 🤞🏽

Thank you so much this is really reassuring. And congratulations on your pregnancy after IVF. Xxx

@DCmum95 I am currently 13 weeks pregnant with my 2nd ivf baby. 1st pregnancy I had no bleeding. This time I had bleeding almost straight after transfer for a week and it got really heavy with clots at times. They found no reason for the bleeding and said maybe trauma from transfer. This was a frozen Cycle this time and maybe something to do with that?
Have you had your Early scan yet? Xxx

That’s really helpful thank you. I think the sight of blood (which was really spotting rather than actual bleeding) has sent me so scared!
yes I had a scan at 5w6d and it was a perfect little blob with a heartbeat, which makes it so much more scary now I have this bleeding. I’m just praying it’s a reaction to the progesterone and nothing else x

@DCmum95 honestly it is all so frightening being pregnant and any bit of blood will be so shocking but its not always something sinister.
Maybe book a reassurance scan if you can just puts you at ease seeing baby.
The first 12 weeks are so long.
Sending you lots of love ❤️
