I read somewhere that when you’re close to labour/ birth you get this crazy burst of energy, I have gone the complete opposite way, today I have a nap with my toddler (I never do this!) and I am becoming very lazy with food in terms of not wanting to cook at all and just doing oven food/ ready meals and I have ended up getting a cleaner because I have no energy! I am on maternity leave now so not working but my toddler only goes nursery twice a week so currently being a full time mum and husband leaves early and works late so not much help and support at the minute.
I’m starting to feel so much guilt that all I am doing at the minute is laying on the sofa, not playing with my son, I took him out to the park today and it just completely took me out (hence the nap!). Is this normal, where is thus burst of energy I am supposed to get?! 😩

I’ve literally been like this since three weeks pregnant. I’d say it’s entirely normal. Especially so near the end of pregnancy and with a toddler in the mix! Be easy on yourself and get some rest. Congratulations on your imminent arrival.

I had this at 35 weeks pregnant. I'd sleep a whole night and by 10am at the weekend, I needed a nap and could literally close my eyes and sleep for two hours. I had this a few days in a row, struggled through work on the Monday (no nap obviously) but turns out I'd been in labour since late Sunday/early Monday and baby was born Tuesday night. I think it was a sign labour was close but who knows. Pregnancy is so tiring especially when looking after a toddler so could just have been coincidence.
