So I had threatened pre term at 33weeks but thankfully nothing progressed so here I am 3 weeks later. The past two nights now I’ve been getting the most intense back pain that’s coming and going, followed by possible BH early contractions, they don’t get better with movement or water and feeling just off and every time I wipe I’m loosing parts of my mucus plug (no blood stains) but along with a lot of DC, feeling so heavy down below (he’s v much engaged) and like my entrance is open I know this sounds strange but the only way I can explain it. But it all seems to simmer off by morning except the DC and the heavy feeling maybe the odd cramp in the day but nothing I would think ok this might be it.

Could this be the start of labour? or just what I’m in for. With my first he came at 35w due to PPROM, which they ended up inducing me due to infections so I have no idea what pre labour the build up etc feels like as I had the drip so went from 0-100 really fast ha. Any advise would be amazing thankyou

It does sound like it could be early labour, but I was like this for about a week with my second before going into proper labour, so you could be a few days/weeks even yet.
I think you should call the maternity unit this morning though and tell them what’s been going on and hopefully they will check things out.

Definitely sounds like it could be, can't hurt to check in with hospital if you are worried. I'm glad you made it this far after threatened pre term! All the best

i do feel different but I don’t know if I’m just like wishful thinking! I’ll be ringing my midwife to see what she says as right now apart from the odd period pain and sore bits I feel ok so like it would be pointless going up to hospital, obv if it changes I will but because this could be the first time I go “naturally” I don’t know what to expect

Oh I’m definitely glad he’s cooked an extra few weeks. But I’m not like overly worried it’s more I honestly don’t know what to expect haha

Yes it's hard to know sometimes! With two of mine, it started and stopped for a week which was quite frustrating, although it seemed to do something because both of them came very quick when it really was time - one 3 hour and then about 2 hours of labour.

Oh I hope not I’ve been having irregular contractions since the threatened pre term which I’ve had to deal with but these I get at night are different so I’m hoping it’s the start of it all. Obviously I’m almost 37 weeks so he still has more time to cook but just with what’s happening is making me think it’s sooner
