14dpo - bloods look ok but pregnancy tests light

TW - previous loss

Hi everyone, extremely anxiously here after almost two years of infertility and two miscarriages. One miscarriage was a suspected ectopic so I’m in for bloods every two days. So far I’ve had -

12dpo - 120
14dpo - 367

From what I’ve read these seem like good results however my tests (easy at home) are quite light compared to what I’m seeing on other peoples pictures. At 12dpo using first wee there was barely a line so the blood results came as a huge happy surprise.

I’m just wondering if anyone else has had this? I’m obviously very (tentatively) happy with the blood results but each morning my tests send me into an anxiety as they’re quite faint and some days there seems not a huge amount of change between them.

Honestly, if you are getting blood tests every 2 days, forget about the pregnancy tests entirely.

Blood HCG levels and doubling time are the most important signifiers of a healthy pregnancy before anything can be seen on scans, and the pregnancy test line is just a rough approximation of that that can be influenced by all sorts of stuff (hydration level, test batch/brand etc).

I know it's hard to just sit with the worry in the early stages of a pregnancy after losses, but the tests are just going to add more stress - especially as you have blood tests, which are much more reliable!
