Took an early test, but just wanted to know what people thought.

It’s hard to see but there’s a faint one, not sure if a pregnant line though or water

On the close one I see a second line. Could be an indent though as can't see colour. Try again in 48 hours!

I'm an expert at spotting squinters and confirm that there is a second line there. I remember positing a picture of a pregnancy test a few years ago and nobody on mumsnet could see it, and the line is now a very lively 3 year old.

Is it brown staining or period like flow?

It was kind of brown and dark red

Could possibly just be clearing out any old period from before?🤷🏼‍♀️

The only way to know would be either wait and see or hospital doing bloods and or a scan

Yeah, unfortunately OP it’s just too early to tell. Could be a loss, could be old blood, could even be implantation bleeding, could be cervix changes from pregnancy hormones. Soooo many things. You won’t get a scan because this early there is nothing to see. They might do a blood test and again in 48 hours to see if hCG is increasing as expected, but where I live they only offer that after repeated miscarriage (3 I think). I think they will only tell you to go away and monitor it, maybe offer a a scan at 5-6 weeks.
I’m sorry you’re experiencing all this worry and I’m hoping it’s all pointless worry and everything will turn out fine.
It’s a situation completely out of your control at this point.

with my son, I was about 14 weeks. And I had bled a lot. But he was completely fine. It shit me up cause I’d miscarried before him. But he was totally ok. I think I did at the very start too, around 5/6 weeks cause i remember going in and having a scan done possibly cause of cramping and bleeding but I can’t be sure on that one cause it was nearly 4 years ago now😂
