7 weeks spotting & cramping

I’m 7+4 have had light cramping randomly on and off since week 5. Today I had a light brown smudge in my pants (definitely more a smudge than a spot but about 4cmx1cm) and v light cramping. Last week I felt sick (but wasn’t actually sick) and was tired and grumpy. This week I don’t feel sick really at all and haven’t felt that tired… I didn’t think much of this until the spotting.

I have my booking appointment tomorrow, do I just tell the midwife then? It feels ott to me to ring the EPU, but I have literally no idea if this is what I am supposed to do. Is it just down to us to decide if we’re concerned?

If your having cramps and bleeding thats when EPAU would be concerned enough to scan you.
Ive had 3 mc's and all mine have started with cramping and brown bleeding. They've seen me and gave me the horrible news. Id definitely go get checked out, however if your midwife appointment is tomorrow they may tell you to wait as your midwife may refer you to them.

I would get checked out but don’t necessarily assume the worst. I had cramping and bleeding at this stage with both the pregnancies that led to my two daughters. Good luck x

I would call to get checked out with EPU I had this at 7 weeks too. Everything was fine and they didn’t make me feel like I was wasting their time. The first few weeks are so difficult and fee like they go on for so long.

Thanks, I did ring EPU and they said that was the right thing to do. It’s confusing that the nhs says spotting is a symptom but to ring if you’re bleeding - made it seem to me like that was something different? Anyway, they just said to wait and see if it gets worse and ring back in 24 hours if still happening. I’ve not had any more spots yet but still have the cramps.
