Hi has anyone had experience with very faint lines on first response tests. Last cycle I had two very faint lines but then the next day my period started, I am wondering if it was a chemical. This month I am seeing the exact same line (would only be 8DPO) have tried clear blue ultra early at 9DPO and no line at all and have ran out of first response so can’t retest until I get more tomorrow. I don’t know if they are faint positives or indent lines. See picture…

I have had bad indents on FRERs previously. I absolutely was not pregnant when I got this as I had a blood test under 2 hours later and it was totally negative.

@PaperSheet Oh no, that’s sad!!!! I was really hoping this wouldn’t be the case, I even wasted a test by running it under the tap to see if the same thing happened but that test was totally totally negative so I was hoping the one I actually used was showing something up legitimately 😥 your test looks a lot like mine though so guess I won’t get my hopes up!!

These tests are really bad for indent lines 🥹 got my hopes up so many times with these tests

Sparkle880 · 01/07/2025 10:43

@Penguin181 Did your indents look like the one in my picture 😢

Yeah they did unfortunately but was definitely negative, I’m on a pregnancy checker app too and so many people say the same thing

Obviously different on different tests maybe but I never saw a line like that on any of my tests (and I took a good few). They were completely blank. If I had a line like that I'd have thought it was positive as well.

Uphighseesky · 01/07/2025 11:28

@Sparkle880 honestly, 8dpo is too early to test and expect a clear result.
If you just wait a few days then either there'll be a line or your period will start. I would advise waiting a bit!

Thanks for your replies, it’s so confusing I think if the one I had ran under the tap looked the same (whilst annoying) at least I could accept that it was an indent but because that one was so starkly negative it’s still giving me hope, but I probably just need to wait longer or accept it’s not a true result given the reviews 😥 sad x

I’ve had a 3 month miscarriage not too long ago and had my few chemicals . I took a test a few days ago it came back positive and the day after darker. I skipped yesterday as I was too busy and done another this morning . It should have gotten darker but what I saw was that it looked same as previous. Can someone please help . Am I headed for another chemical 😢😢😢
