I have just had a huge nosebleed I never get them usually, although I did have a few in the first few months, but not as heavy as this. I have been feeling quite faint today so maybe that has something to do with it? Am I right in thinking that nosebleeds are mostly something to do with hormones when they happen in pregnancy?

It's more to do with the fact that you have a lot more blood pumping around your body and are just more prone to nose bleeds (and gum bleeds). Don't worry and good luck for the big event!!!

(Lean forward and pinch the bridge of your nose btw! )

i wouldnt worry as long as you dont have a severe headache and/or visual disturbances.

I'd forgotten about this, I had terrible nose bleeds too at the end of my pregnancy. Couldn't walk anywhere without a tissue stuffed up one or both nostrils YUK!

i had a nose bleed in first trimester, it is quite common. as mentioned before ref extra blood flowing etc

Nosebleeds can be an indication of blood pressure issues, so may be best to get your MW to have another look...sure it's fine though, good luck!
