Hair loss during pregnancy

This is a bit disgusting sorry.

Im cleaning my bathroom, nd i always buy the disposable mascara wands so i can get into the plug hole and clean it.

Well ive done it today and the amount of hair thats come out since ive been pregnant.. well lets say i could possibly make a wig.

Im sure during pregnancy your hair is meant to be thicker and little hair loss.. right?

Well mine seems to be falling out no matter what i do, ive changed shampoo and conditioner, ive changed the way i wash it, i only condition the ends, i massage my scalp rather than rub it (advice from a hairdresser) and yet... its still really bad.

Any vitamins or anything anyone can suggest for hair loss during pregnancy.

Just to add i dont think its getting thinner.. it has over time, i used to have very thick hair as a teen which i had to have thinned every 6 weeks and it was still very thick! but since being an adult it has thinned out and no longer need it thinning.. but this amount is horrendous..

I also experienced hair loss during my second pregnancy. I believe it is not an uncommon experience and maybe due to hormonal fluctuations. In my case it was also due to low levels of iron, for which I took prescribed supplements. I also avoided straightening my hair, as I felt the heat was damaging it further. Stress can also lead to hair loss, how are you finding things? If you are worried you could mention it at your next health checkup.

I’m the same! Every time I wash my hair a ton seems to end up in my hands. It’s quite long atm so I’m hoping that’s making it look worse than it is? Also, my baby hair has gone mental and no matter what products I use it’s really dry. I’ve started washing my hair less, I’m not really exercising so only washing it once a week.

Following with interest though!!!

Thank you! I feel fine until it comes to my scans thats when i feel stress and anxiety.
Other than that ive been really calm during this pregnancy. Oh i have to straighten it otherwise the frizz just takes over, but again thats like twice a week at the most!

Yes! I always try to hit once a week but with this weather at the moment im having to push for 2 otherwise i look like ive come out of a mcdonalds fryer! Luckily spaced apart though. I'll wash it on a sunday and then on a wednesday at a push, i dont see the point in washing it before sunday again, its usually dosgusting by saturday but i refuse and i just look greasy for a day🤣

My hair had grown loads since pregnancy! So its relatively long now.

Im hoping i get less hair loss post partum😅
If i lose anymore after birth i'll probably end up having none left!

My baby hairs just tend to stick up now🫠
Thankfully my hair isnt dry or anything, its silky but it just falls out far too much!

I got a clump this morning while brushing it through🙃 having to clear our my hair brush every 2 days isnt fun! Might have to go for a chop and hope that it helps a little. But i know i'll miss my long hair!

Mine has changed a lot too. Breaks easily, dry and the texture has changed so it won't hold a curl anymore.

I thought we were all meant to get silky manes with pregnancy?!
