Positive ovulation test

Hi, so i have got two positive ovulation tests from separate days- i am 9 days due till my period? Is this normal i thought i would of ovulated already? Could i be pregnant Hcg and LH are similar hormones?

That's a negative pregnancy test. Can be normal to ovulate later in a cycle though, and for the LH peak to last a while.

Maybe just do another hcg test when your period is due to confirm or rule out pregnancy

Okay thank i will do another pregnancy test closer to the time of my expected period date

Yes it's normal, sometimes your body can ovulate later in the cycle. That looks like the test has run though so I wouldn't trust that ovulation test, worth doing another to check it's right.

You could well be only just ovulating now. Or possibly it looks darker due to the dye run and its not actually positive.

While ovulation tests can show positive when pregnant, they are not MORE sensitive than actual pregnancy tests. So if a pregnancy test is negative, the ovulation test will not be detecting what a pregnancy test cannot.

9 days before your period is too early to detect pregnancy hormones anyway. Most people with standard cycles would only be about 5 days past ovulation and any potential embryo wouldn’t have even implanted yet so there wouldn’t be any HCG in your system.
