So I went for a sweep yesterday at 38 weeks and she said my cervix was shortened and felt soft but I was only maybe 1/2cm dilated. She managed to get in a bit and gave it a good go at a sweep. As soon as I left I had cramps and pale pink mucus. Over the last 24 hours I’ve had brown / pink discharge pretty much constantly that has just stopped and wayyy more cramps
has anyone had a similar experience. Midwife didn’t say it was a failed sweep but equally I know it won’t be as effective as it might’ve been
I’m hoping I’m 1cm tomorrow so she can get a better go
