Intermediate risk of preterm birth ?

I was just having a little look on my badger notes app and noticed under "current risks" it says "Intermediate risk of preterm birth"

I don't remember this being discussed at my MW appointment and all my bloods etc came back with no concerns. I will ask about it at my appointment on Monday (I don't feel the need to phone in advance about it) but just wondered if anyone can shed light on what it means and what the cause could be?

I have PCOS and parents on both sides developed diabetes in much later life so unsure if it can be linked to one of those?

Badger is a load of shit so unless you know you have risk factors for prem birth (previous prem delivery, uterine abnormalities, previous cervix surgery eg LLETZ etc) then I'd assume it's been put on incorrectly!

Thank you - first baby so no previous prem delivery but I did have laser treatment on my cervix twice years ago so I wonder if it could be that. i will ask the question on Monday. Thank you :)

PS regards the mistakes I did notice that I am listed as "hospital birth" on the app even though we discussed my preference for home birth all going well..

The treatment to your cervix may have been the trigger but it should have been discussed with you. Definitely worth raising at your next appointment

Re the hospital delivery, I think it's easier to have you booked for hospital delivery then switch to home birth than have you registered for home birth then have to switch to hospital delivery as they have an idea of the number of expected births each month and if you do need transfer to hospital there's some record of you.

Thank you :) I will mention it at the app... it perhaps was discussed but I think I would remember that...
