Pregnancy after adhesion removal…success stories

I am pregnant for the 7th time (all MCs) and this is following an operation to remove uterine adhesions and open up my uterus earlier this year.

My circumstances are quite niche I suppose and so I think I’m just seeking positive reinforcement. Has anyone had adhesions removed and gone to have/having a healthy pregnancy.

thanks x

I sort of have. I was a bit different as I couldn’t get pregnant until after the adhesions removed, then I couldn’t stay pregnant. Long story short I had two brief pregnancies after adhesion removal (after years of secondary infertility) then could fall pregnant but not stay pregnant. It was discovered I had overactive NK cells so had treatment for that during fertility treatment rounds and now have a child.

hopefully your issue is purely down to the adhesions and that will solve it for you. I definitely have no regrets about my surgery - one of the best things I’ve ever done!

Hi

Congratulations on your pregnancy!

I had some scarring removed last summer and am currently 24 weeks pregnant. I went in for surgery for retained tissue for a MMC and it was performed under hysteroscopy, and the doctor said afterwards she had found “a thin band” of scarring which she had tried to remove. My periods were slightly heavier afterwards so I assume it was successful.

I’ve had no issues so far with this pregnancy, and I’ve just been referred to the placenta clinic to check for placenta accreta as a precaution (no signs of it so far).

Hope everything goes well for you
