Weight gain at 25 weeks

Pregnant with my second baby, approx 25 weeks.

I have been weighing myself weekly and haven’t gained anything for a while. I have gained 1.5kg since finding out I was pregnant at 4 weeks.

I had pre eclampsia last time and have low PAPP-A this time so sticking to Apirin, have growth scans from 30 weeks to keep an eye on baby.

i had severe nausea until about week 16/18 requiring medication and up until a couple of weeks ago i was running 3x a week (low iron has stopped that now!)

wondering if anyone else has experience of minimal weight gain during pregnancy and whether it’s anything to be concerned about.

With my second pregnancy I gained 1.5 stone. With my last pregnancy I couldn’t eat much throughout it and only gained 3lb, baby was 7.14lb when born. Midwife wasn’t concerned at all. I had a growth scan and 36 weeks due to bump measuring small but all was ok.
A week after baby was born I was a stone lighter than I was when I first found out I was pregnant

I did a lot of exercise (running, swimming, cycling, CrossFit) when I was pregnant and only put on ~6-7lb. Even at 42 weeks pregnant, most people didn’t notice. I did have a couple of extra scans, but the midwife said she wasn’t concerned.

Thanks both this is reassuring.

I must say I feel a lot healthier than my last pregnancy (even though I’m older) it’s just very different!! I gained way too much last time and didn’t lose it in the 2 years I was breastfeeding for

With my daughter I had hyperemesis in the first and third trimesters. I think around 25 weeks I was only slightly above my pre pregnancu weight. In the end I gained 1-1.5 stone. I was back at pre pregnancy weight by 10 days post partum.
When I start losing weight again in the third trimester I asked my midwife to weigh me a few times and my weight gain was ok if I went by my lowest weight rather than my pre pregnancy weight.
Baby was born at 38 weeks weighing 6lb13 which for my size was a very good weight and 60th percentile by my chart.

From a baby perspective there was no complications from my low weight gain. Unfortunately I had a very high needs baby with silent reflux and multiple food allergies meaning I had to go on to a very restricted diet whilst breastfeeding. I developed severe pnd and struggled to feed myself. This meant I went on to lose another 1.5 stone after having my daughter and ended up very underweight and my physical and mental health really suffered as a result. I think I used up my buffer in pregnancy and having 18+ months of being barely able to eat took it's tole on my body.

I'm pregnant again and am 26 weeks and have gained about a stone although two miscarriages with hyperemesis prior to this pregnancy meant I lost over half a stone last year so I'm only really half a stone heavier than my previously stable weight.
