35 week growth scan

Hey guys, I got a private growth scan earlier today at 35+4 and it shows baby on 48th centile which I know is normal. However, I have no idea how this could be the case because I had a growth scan 2 weeks ago with the NHS due to reduced movements and at that time baby was growing just under the 90th centile. The reason why I got the scan today was basically to check baby’s position, although I know that it can still change. I want to try a VBAC so I wanted to know if he’s still head down (which he is). I do know that growth scans aren’t always the most accurate but this is quite worrying as how could baby’s growth slow down so much in such a brief amount of time? 2 weeks ago baby’s AC measurement was on the 50th centile and now it’s on the 3rd centile? FL was on the 30th centile and now it’s on 70th 2 weeks later? I’m not sure if I trust this scan so much but I’m still worried! My bump is definitely growing really big. So I don’t know what’s going on..

Hopefully someone more medical will be along soon to reassure you - but as a non-medical person, I've heard sooooo many stories of inaccurate late stage growth scans. My own growth scan was 2 pounds out, at 39 weeks. If nothing else is concerning you and baby is still moving fine, I honestly would assume it's the scan.

If you are having any reduced movements, then head straight back to the midwives and get checked again.
