Cramping in early pregnancy after loss

Hey all 👋🏼 Just looking for a bit of advice or any positive stories… ✨

I’ve had 4 losses in total, 2 of which were ectopic… the first ruptured so I lost my tube, then the second still needed surgery… ❤️‍🩹

Fast forward to last week I found out we are pregnant again, I was due to see the recurrent miscarriage clinic next week but that’s now been cancelled… I’ve got to wait till the 9th of July to have a placement scan then be offered progesterone once they know it’s in the right place 😮‍💨

My tests are getting darker and I haven’t had any bleeding but I keep having horrible twingy cramps… laying in bed last night it felt like a stitch kind of pain when I moved on my left side (which is the remaining tube side) I guess I’m just freaking out 😭

My anxiety is through the roof so just wanted to know what your cramping was like after miscarriages or ectopics?

Thanks in advance for reading ✨🥰

I’m sorry I haven’t experienced any losses, though I did have two pregnancies via IVF. Just wanted to say your description of stitch like cramps on one side sounds like my experiences in early pregnancy both times. Wishing you all the best xx

I had this - now 40+1 so not necessarily a bad thing! I was taking a lot of paracetamol to keep it under control and went to GP because it didn't go after 3 days (shouldn't take paracetamol longer than this). GP referred me to scan the next day because it can be a sign of ectopic even without bleeding or shoulder pain. I didn't have any bleeding etc. Everything was fine. 😊Apparently it's settling in pains.

Keep an eye on it and if it doesn't go away, speak to GP to get checked out. Good luck! 🍀

I had 3 solid weeks of painful cramps and a couple of instances of spotting with my eldest son (who will be 4 next month). Just hang in there and try to relax (easier said than done I know). Every pregnancy is different.

@muddlingthrou@PurBal@Nope2024 Hey ladies 👋🏼 Thank you so much for the well wishes and telling me your stories 🙏🏼 It’s made me feel a lot better ❤️‍🩹 Will deffo keep an eye on things and know to call EPU or go to A&E if it gets too much! Still experiencing stitch like twinges every so often, uterus also feels heavy and I’m SO bloated! 🤰🏻 So I got a 2-3 weeks on my Clearblue this morning and a near dye stealer on my FRER ✨

Also managed to get two blood forms from the GP to monitor HCG over the next couple of days! My first one today came back at 219 which I am tentatively happy about (I believe I’m 16 dpo ish! 4 weeks 3/4 days) Let’s hope my HCG doubles on Thursday 🙏🏼

@Nope2024How exciting!! You are nearly there, all those cramps are worth it 😉 Will be thinking of you over the next few days! 🙏🏼 🤰🏻

@Nope2024@PurBal@muddlingthrouHey ladies 👋🏼 Just wanted to update you all…. I had my placement scan yesterday and saw a baby in the right place with a strong heartbeat 🥹😭 We were emotional wrecks! It’s been such a long journey to get this far and we are just praying we now get our rainbow, I’m measuring 6 weeks 1 day 🌈 I’m still injecting my blood thinners every night and have been prescribed progesterone pessaries to use twice a day for 10 weeks…. Have any of you had experience with these?

Couldnt fully enjoy it after the scan as roughly 3 hours later I went to the toilet and had fresh red/pink blood, went into panic mood and thought I was loosing little bean 🫘 But since then it’s settled and I only have slight brown when I wipe now, have any of you experienced bleeding after an internal scan? Gosh this anxiety is never going to go 😮‍💨🙏🏼💫

hope you are all well 🥰

Wishing you all the best and happy to hear the good news. Must be so magical and also unbelievable after all you've been true 💕

@RainbowUnicorn94 congratulations!

I've had losses too, and I'm almost 20 weeks with our IVF baby, and I had spotting for the first 8-9 weeks of pregnancy. Turned out fine, no one knew why, might have been my cervical ectropion flaring up as the blood flow increased. You've seen a heart beat so the chances of losing your little bean have decreased a lot. ❤

Thank you so much for your kind messages ladies 🙏🏼 it means a lot ❤️‍🩹 Congrats on your little bundle of joy @JuniperandIHow exciting! I hope your doing well 🤰🏻 Luckily after that initial bit of spotting I’ve had nothing since… so I’m thinking it was just from the probe and irritation to the cervix like you said 😮‍💨🙏🏼💕
