Iv read online that vitamin A can be harmful in pregnancy. Iv just bought these supplements and on the back it states Vitamin A. I’m now a little weary about taking them. What do you guys think?

Vitamin A is a necessary vitamin,
This dosage isn't huge.
I'd not worry about it.
You'd have to take a huge amount for it to have a negative impact
Personally I'm taking my regular multi vitamin that has more vitamin A than yours, with an added folic acid vitamin on top. So far no problems with baby.
I also took a multivit during my other successful pregnancies and they are now 8 and 6 with no issues other than sass. In buckets full.

It's betacarotene which is a safe form of vitamin A. It's the retinol form that you need to avoid. Betacarotene is what is in fruit/veg so there isn't a limit on it

@LaTable too much vitamin A can lead to birth defects so I wouldn't advise using a supplement that has the retinol form of vitamin A in it. Betacarotene is the safer form and that's why that's the version in pregnancy vitamins.

Pregnacare has betacarotene, it's the safe vitamin a you can take in pregnancy.
As others said retinol is the one you want to avoid.
They look safe. x
