‘Potty shot’ at 15+1… were yours accurate?!

Hiya, I’m just wondering if anyone can confirm what they think of the potty shots from our scan of baby3 at 15 weeks & 1 day!

I had scans at 16 weeks with my DS & DS2 but their images were super obvious! Struggling to believe what I’ve been told 🤣

Mine were blindingly obvious with the boys. Is this a boy?

BAMU123 · 22/06/2025 13:58

We’ve been told this little baby is a girl! I’m just not sure with a couple of the pics?

Yes the three lines indicate a girl! I was going to say if you were told boy I can’t see how haha

Shesellsseashellsnotinmystreet · 22/06/2025 19:07

Def a girl.

I can’t say what the scan means as it’s years since I saw one. Can I ask you though, if you have a scan at 12 weeks, do you automatically have another scan a few weeks later to know the sex. If so how many at how many weeks can I expect this further scan. Are there any further scans after the sexing scan if everything is ok with the pregnancy.

YellowGrey · 22/06/2025 19:16

@itcanonlygetbettercantit on the NHS the only standard scans are at 12 weeks and 20 weeks (the latter is mainly to check for anomalies as well as find out the sex). As the OP is having a scan at 15 weeks it indicates she's either a high risk pregnancy having extra scans or has paid for a private scan.

UpUpUpU · 22/06/2025 19:20

I am team girl. Congratulations!

Thanks so much for that info. OP hope all is well with you.

I have 2 boys and both scans were loud and clear ! Very obviously boys ! We laughed at the first one n the lady said we could take a pic on our phone if we wanted but she couldn’t print it as a scan photo as it’s classed as child nudity lol

Yes I paid for a private scan for this one at 15 weeks :)
