OMG dymchurch beach poor quality water

I just had a little swim just sat down in the water in Dymchurch beach maybe for 15 min, and later on saw a tiny note saying poor water quality swimming not advisable…. My little one and my husband had a swim in too. I’m 5 weeks pregnant panicking please any advice 😕

Hopefully, if you didn't swallow any water, you will be ok. And if you did swallow some, your immune systems can still fight off any bugs, so don't panic yet.

If you or your little one does get ill, mention to 111 what you told us. They may suggest a sample (of poo) to the gp, if you have persistent diarrhoea,

(I was checking water quality online yesterday online, having been sea swimming. It just didn't feel clean where I was, though there were no specific warnings . . . I'll be keeping my head well above water in future . . )

Thank you so much I’m well and my son and husband are fine too. Thankfully I didn’t swallow any water I don’t think any of us did.
Will be sure to check water quality before I go anywhere… UK beaches are getting super dirty 😥When I go on holiday for example to Greece their water is like swimming pool clear 😩
