Pregnancy Cholestasis

I had mild cholestasis later in my first pregnancy, that started near the end and really dropped off before I actually had my daughter 4 years ago. Now 6 weeks pregnant and the soles of my feet are so itchy. Not sure if I am overthinking it or it’s maybe just the heat/normal pregnancy itching but at bed time my feet is so itchy. Does anyone have any experience with cholestasis starting this early in a pregnancy?

I only experienced this in my 3rd & last pregnancy. Diagnosed with blood tests at 28wks. Baby induced at 38wks. (21 yrs ago).

But ever since I get random itching episodes & rashes/hives usually on upper & lower limbs with random deranged LFT results which tend to fluctuate from time to time without rhyme or reason. The intense itching drives me crazy!

I guess blood tests would be a helpful starting point for you 🫶🏼

Can I ask you ladies what your ALT blood levels were for this? I’ve just had bloods back for something unrelated to pregnancy, and it’s come back pretty elevated. I had issues last pregnancy too 😕

I’m having bloods done tomorrow morning to check but last time my bile acids were around 6-8 for a few weeks and then at one point went up to 10 so at that point they recommended an induction.

My memory recall was it was my alk phosphate that was high 157 & continued to rise to 900+ 1 week before induction at 38 wks. (They were being checked weekly until birth) & I received a scan wkly to ensure baby was safe.

I think my ALT was approx 190!! at 28 wks but unsure if they continued to rise as doctors didn't disclose numbers to me regularly.

I'm not 100% as it isn't in my medical notes & doctor and only stated the 1st & last results.

My itching/rashes took several weeks after delivery to settle & resolve. However, I still have the odd deranged LFTS & occasionally experience random intense itching & hives but this tends to resolve itself & can then flare up again without any rhyme or reason.
