8 week scan - measured 6w 1d - no heartbeat

i had a private scan today and after an internal scan the sonographer could not find a heartbeat and said I am measuring 2 weeks behind what I expect based on LMP.

I am pretty certain of ovulation dates and with no heartbeat feel this will only end in one outcome.

has anyone experienced similar and had a successful pregnancy? Preparing ourselves and we have a rescan next week to confirm.

I had this (but there was a heartbeat). Baby measured 6 weeks but I should have been 8 weeks. As there was a heartbeat I was told not to worry. It took 4 weeks later until I naturally miscarried.

If you are sure ovulation dates then I’d be preparing for bad news.. sometimes they do measure behind as nobody knows when implantation takes place. Two weeks however is a long time and more often than not, it’s not good news.
