Nausea remedies? Vitamin B6?

Hi

Pregnancy number 6, hopefully baby number 3. I am six weeks today and morning sickness has hit like a freight train over the past three days. I had forgotten how truly awful it is; also have the added bonus of diarrhoea today too! Never had that one before.

Has anyone had any success beyond the usual ginger/ smaller meals etc? In my last pregnancy I found bacon sandwiches helped hugely, but I would like to avoid putting on as much weight as I did with baby number two and they definitely did not help in that regard...

I’ve been doing some research this morning. Has anyone tried vitamin b6 with any success?

Thank you in advance for any ideas!

Think it’s just really dependent on you food wise.
Do you like marmite? That’s got lots of b vits in it! I’d have it on crumpets!
although I haven’t heard of it being helpful for nausea.
ginger biscuits, crumpets, toasties, fresh fruit were my go to. Have you tried the travel nausea bands? X

Vitamin b6 did absolutely nothing for me. Sniffing hand sanitizer and sucking on a boiled sweet constantly was what helped most.

I know it's going to sound strange but lemon water. Dice half a lemon and squeeze it into some water, smelling it and sipping it helps. Also, Cornflakes and there is B6 in there.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will try them all.
Luckily I do like marmite and usually that helps loads, but this week it has taken me a good 10 mins to eat a small slice of toast with it on!!

It's hard isn't it and it messes up with your head.

So hard. Honestly feel so depressed. On leave this week, honestly not sure how I’m going to manage work and looking after 2 little ones without my husband around. My symptoms never tend to ease up until mid second trimester as well, so if the pregnancy is viable I’ve got another 12 weeks of this. If it all works out, it’ll be worth it, but it is so tough.
Sending solidarity!

I'm on sick leave for two weeks until my eye heals, burst a capillary, been given anti sickness medication. Since I literally broke myself being sick so much. So I know how it feels. I literally cried because I was able to eat two slices of cheese pizza. I was saying to my partner, you have no idea how it feels being able to eat something normal.

I’m so sorry it has been so hard.
I hope the anti sickness medication helps.

It has, just leaves me very tired. But it's nice not being sick all the time. My hats off to you though raising two little ones on top of this. This is my first.

Can I ask a question? With your first did you have a how am I going to keep this baby alive moment? I'm 10 weeks and am already thinking that.

100%! I was even worried I wouldn’t know how to hold him, as I always felt very awkward holding other people’s babies. However as soon as he was born instinct kicked in. You’ll be absolutely fine.
