When I felt the movements slow down I had a sweet fizzy drink and would lay on my side. Usually that will get them active again.

Good luck.

@Pregnantmomma01 Everyone will feel things differently, but I'd get in touch with your EPU/health provider (not sure from your username if you're in the UK/somewhere else). I went in at 18 weeks for reduced movements (feeling slightly hysterical) and they said that I should expect to feel movements at least once a day at that point.

If you ever think you have reduced movements, you should go in - even if it's the middle of the night. Good luck!

Thankyou, I saw that I shouldn't be worried til 24 weeks as most women don't feel movement til around this time so wasn't sure

Cold drink, eat something sweet and lay on your left side is the advice I always remember :) and if still nothing then call the maternity unit. X

LaTable · 17/06/2025 15:45

Is this your first?
I personally wiuldnt be worried. For my first I felt her around 22ish weeks, and that was only once or twice until it was more regular at about 25 weeks.
Same delay between first movements and regular movements with the next two who got that far too
But that's just me experience, if you're very concerned do speak to your midwife

Pregnantmomma01 · 17/06/2025 16:10

Thankyou, my partner rang maternity and they said before 24 weeks they're not concerned.

I assume all was ok? I’m literally at the same situation as you were - I’m 22 weeks and have not felt any movement yet. At 20 weeks scan I was told I’ve got posterior placenta so should feel the baby sooner and more. But so far nothing😣. I’m not very big either so I thought by now it would be more obvious movements or kicks.

Pennyroses · 06/11/2025 13:09

Have you mentioned this to your midwife? I would as personally, I've been feeling movement since 15 weeks and now at 22 weeks baby is very active, can't mistake the movements at all! I know everyone is different but if you have felt movement and now don't at all, I would definitely get checked out to be safe x

DaisyChain505 · 06/11/2025 13:12

I’m 19 weeks and I think I’ve felt the baby move a few times. Definitely not every day.

Lolalu09 · 06/11/2025 13:45

Same advice about movement before 24 weeks.

With my first I had a anterior placenta and didn't feel him for a very long time.

SharpGreyMoose · 06/11/2025 16:38

I randomly started feeling him at about 26.. he's well now, 7 weeks old, 2 corrected, he was a 34 weeker due to preclampsia bless him x
