So I had my dating scan last week but was measuring ahead at 14+1. For some context, this is an IVF pregnancy and I was advised to take all of my IVF medication until my dating scan which includes two forms of progesterone (Lubion and Cyclogest) and oestrogen (Progynova). I am also 32 years old.
The sonographer initially said the nuchal translucency was measuring 3mm and said that was normal but noted in my maternity notes she put the measurement down as 2.8mn which was reassuring.
I went on to have the blood test as part of the combined screening and results came back today as high risk of baby having Down Syndrome (1 in 41 chance).
Blood results showed low slightly low PAPP-A at 0.67 and HCG levels are elevated at 3.3.
I have experienced a lot of nausea and vomiting which would suggest elevated HCG levels and I wondered whether the IVF medication may have impacted the accuracy of the results.
I am awaiting a date for an amniocentesis for a diagnostic result but was wondering if anyone had experienced similar results from the combined screening and went on to have a healthy baby? And has anyone on IVF medication been told this can affect the combined screening results?
