Induction for reduced movements

Currently 36+1 pregnant and due to be induced between 38-39 weeks due to GDM. I went to triage on Monday eve due to reduced movements and then again on Saturday eve, so Sunday and Monday I’ve had to go for CTG monitoring as I have a scan tomorrow (Tuesday). Does anyone have experience of repeated reduced movements towards the end of pregnancy and the likelihood of them inducing me around 37-38 weeks instead.

I feel a lot of worry about the movements a lot (I have an almost 2 year old so I think sometimes life is too busy and I don’t necessarily notice the movements in the daytime) but also if I am induced earlier I’m just worried about my body not being as ready for birth and more intervention than if I was further along. Any advice is welcome/ Or questions to ask the consultant tomorrow

I went in eight times for reduced movements. At 37+6 (a Friday) I went in for a presentation scan as baby had been breech, and found that she was head down but growth had stopped. I was induced at 38+2 (that Monday) and they said that if I came in again over the weekend with reduced movements they would induced immediately. Best of luck!

thank you, I’m being induced on Sunday, 37 weeks on the dot! 🙈 fingers crossed for a smooth labour and no more triage for the next 4 days..

Best of luck! My induction was super easy - contractions within 40 mins of the pessary going in, and then waters broken at 2cm. I was holding her 40 mins later! Didn't even have time to read my trashy mag, very disappointing! Hopefully yours is nice and speedy too 🤞
