Sorry this is such a stupid question but I really can’t find the answer online😅

I am 5 weeks 1 day pregnant. Strong positive lines on tests. I downloaded a self-referral form but don’t know if it is too soon to send it?

No, it's fine to do it now. They'll want to do your booking appointment at about 8 weeks so you may as well get it in now so they can get that appointment set up for you.

I've always done the referral as soon as I find out. I'm on regular medication and the midwife sorts me out my maternity exemption certificate straight away so I don't have to pay for my prescriptions.

I've had my booking appointments between 7 and 11 weeks.

Oh good ok I’ll get on with it. It just doesn’t feel real to me yet so seems mad to tell the nhs. I keep thinking I’m going to wake up the next day and realise I’ve been imagining it 🙃Thanks for replying so quick, I’m grateful for the reassurance!

My area says you can't self refer until you're 5 weeks pregnant, you're definitely fine! Congrats!

Submitted the form an hour ago and I’ve already been booked for an appointment for the 12 week scan in August. Very efficient 😂I guess it is actually happening now

I know you've done it now but I self referred on Saturday at 3+5 and today they called with a booking in appt for 2 weeks time when I'll be 6 weeks!
