Hi
I'm just looking for someone who may have had the same experience as myself.
2 years ago I had a miscarriage that started on the 4th of august and on the 9th of august i gave birth in my car. I was around 14 weeks and from this I have quite bad ptsd.
i am 32 weeks pregnant and meet with my consultant for the last time this week. We have already decided a c-section is the best method of delivery for my baby due to my risk of rupturing with a natural birth.

My due date is the 9th of august and I am absolutely terrified of giving birth in august. I don’t want to put my baby in danger but would my consultant consider delivering me at 38 weeks for this?

Hi lovely, congrats on your pregnancy.
I’m so sorry for what you’ve been through, I don’t think anyone can imagine the trauma you’ve been though.
Ive had an emergency c section and a planned one too.
I don’t think you can request the section to be done at 38 weeks as it will be too early for the baby and could cause issues to the baby.

You have to think positive and pray it all
goes well for you and the baby. I didn’t get a choice in my planned date but they rescheduled it to the following day. My daughter was born in August too.

lm side is mums here will be praying for you to have a safe delivery whichever date it falls on.

stay strong

My first baby arrived early at 37 weeks. Birth ended in an EMCS. Currently pregnant with my second and consultant said there's another risk of premature labour so have agreed to do an elective CS at 38 weeks. I feel like baby will probably arrive sooner anyway but they agreed, on balance, it was best to schedule the CS at 38 weeks. I have a further consultant appt and growth scan at 35 weeks to check all is okay.

I spoke about it with my community midwife before asking the consultant and it was her that suggested asking for earlier. Apparently it can be done if there's good reason for it, including mother's mental health (anxiety etc) being a relevant consideration. You can only ask and see what they say.

Yes they will.

I had a loss at 20 weeks and then had my daughter at 24 weeks. I had my son by planned c-section earlier this year at 37+3 due to risk of premature labour despite me having a trans abdominal stitch in place.
