End of July / August baby.. how to dress?

Hello! I am due early August and I am in London… my first born was a December baby so I am a bit confused on how to dress baby since hospital and the first month?? Can anyone advise? Xx

Both mine were born in heatwaves. They wore vests or just a nappy if it was very hot. If it was hot then just a baby grow. Large muslins for a layer if needed.

Just a vest. I found we got too sweaty with just a nappy so unless they were lying down and not in contact with me they did have one layer on.

I wouldn’t over think it right now. I’m having my baby on Friday and it’s going to be late 20s. A week ago it was cold in the UK. You can’t predict English summer weather

August born in a heat wave. First two days vest plus sleep suit.
The during the day vest, leggings and cardigans. At the hottest times of day she went down to just a nappy or vest. As it got cooler I added leggings and occasional a cardigan.
Overnight started with a sleep suit with a large muslin, if it got cooler in the night I switched the muslin for a cellular blanket. Overnight it was easier to adjust the thickness of her cover than her clothes. By mid September once the temperatures were more consistent we switched to sleeping bags. She was over 8lb by this point so grew into the bags we had too.
