Maternity allowance backdated

Hiya, So i’m currently 30 weeks pregnant with twins and due to sorting out some stuff with my UC account won’t be able to apply for Maternity Allowance for about another 3weeks so that’s around 7 weeks after i could have sent in my claim, So then it takes around 4 weeks to review(which is 11 weeks after my 26 weeks) and was wondering if anyone knows if i could potentially be backdated them 7/11 weeks ?

I had to apply for maternity allowance late because my employer incorrectly told me I was eligible for statutory maternity pay when I wasn't. From recollection, they will backdate up to three months so I'd just make sure that you apply as soon as you're able.
