Pregnancy and progesterone

i am currently 6 weeks pregnant today. This whole pregnancy journey I have really had to advocate for myself because I am young ( 23 ). I forced my doctors to put in a progesterone lab to check my levels and after going back and forth with them multiple times they finally put one in. I got my levels back and it’s at a 8.9. Now from what I understand that is considered low - I spoke to a primary physician just now and he told me it was normal for my week. I’m just confused on whether this level is low or not? If it’s low that could that mean? Is requesting progesterone supplements reasonable in this case? Because if it is I really have to force my doctors to put it in. Please help and advice 🙏🏼

i asked chat gpt and it said 8.9 was on the low side for 6w pregnant. but of course this is AI not an actual dr!!!

If I was you’d I’d ring your local EPAU and see if they’ll offer you a scan… that way you’ll know for certain how pregnancy is progressing as opposed to trying to analyse progesterone levels! They can prescribe progesterone too if they agree the levels are low.

i would ask for a second opinion from another gp and ask for a redraw too.
