Iv been having extra growth scans as baby is not gaining weight as much as doctor would like I'm 34+2 and baby is coming in at 3lb 6oz. Specialist is trying to get me to 37 weeks if it's safe to do so but might be took in for a c section before then. Just wondering if anyone had these kind of measurements in their pregnancy?

Sorry I haven't had those measurements but Is there any reason why the specialist doesn't think you will make it to full term or 39 weeks with c section. Have you had any steroids to speed up development of babies lungs.

Has my son emergency c section 34 at weeks. The plan for the past few weeks has been to try and get me to 37 weeks the only reason given was due to my previous pregnancy and the weight. Not had steroids yet but if blood flow through the placenta is any lower on Monday then I would be admitted and given 4 days of steroids before birth. Im getting scans every Monday and it's a case of taking it week to week based on results. I suffer from anxiety disorder and this just has it in overdrive. Everything else is perfect fluid round brain the blood flow through placenta it just seems to be the weight that has my specialist especially worried and the fact my previous pregnancy I had to get emergency c section early due to bleeding then baby's heartbeat dropping.

My daughter was delivered at 34+0 weighing 3lb6. There were issues with blood flow through the placenta so they decided she would be better off out than in. She spent three weeks and a day in nicu and scbu and remained small up until she was around 6-7. She’s now 10 and bang on 50th centile so she caught up eventually.
